Thailand

Choosing where to travel to in Thailand was tough. The country is so big and the lanscapes vary at two extremes, with the North containing rainforests and moutains and the South boasting crystal clear blue waters and picturesque sandy beaches. Ultimately I decided to spend two weeks up North, split between Chiang Mai and Pai, and one week down South around Phuket and the many islands surrounding the famous Koh Phi Phi. I was lucky enough to be able to interact with the elephants in Chiang Mai, and visit the famous Pai Canyon while up in Pai, along with many hidden waterfalls and hot springs. While in Koh Phi Phi I took a famous longtail boat and went around as many islands as I could, discovering some of the most beautiful landscapes I had ever seen. Unfortunately, it is important to note that since Southern Thailand is becoming such a popular destination, the amount of ocean pollution is becoming a massive problem and threatening the future of these once untouched and prestine islands. Please do your part to keep our waters clean so others get the chance to enjoy these amazing places too.
